Odeo.com is a web 2.o music hub that contains music files and podcasts that can be streamed online.
Why might you use this?
Let’s say you find a podcast or music file on odeo.com that would serve as a great teaching example or demonstrate something you are blogging about. You can embed it at any place you want in your blog entry.
How to use this?
1) Find the file you wish to stream at http://odeo.com
For this example we will use the podcast of “The World” featuring Chilean Singer Francesca Ancarola from the PRI radio station located at http://odeo.com/audio/8134983/view
2) Wherever you wish the file to stream from in your blog post type:
odeo (ignore the quotation marks)= “the website you want”
In this case it will look like
[”odeo” = http://odeo.com/audio/8134983/view]
3) You will end up with the odeo player embedded and ready to stream in your post
[odeo= http://odeo.com/audio/8134983/view]
