About The Music Educator’s Network

Musiced.net is a multiplicity of voices and perspectives weaving together a network of students and educators across physical boundaries and borders, working towards a common goal of learning and growing.

The music education community is strong and thriving. The Music Educators network, a non-profit organization, provides this existing community with tools to build upon what already exists. The underlying theme of the Musiced.net community is collaboration.

Collaboration may take the form of students working together within their own school, across state borders or with undergraduates in a local university.

It may also take the form of educators co-authoring an online unit plan, working on a music education weblog (blog), or virtually joining in with other classrooms across the country on a collaborative composing/performing/writing project. The possibilities are only limited to our imaginations!

As more people join this community, a network will be created allowing both small and large groups of members to work together. The various “collectives” that form will be connected to each other through the network even while working on their own individual or group projects. The Music Educators Network is dedicated to the sharing and free exchange of ideas.

As a non-profit organization we wish to provide the music education field with both free and very low cost resources for educational purposes. We look forward to the growth of the community and all of its members.

As a service to the field of music education we are now offering all music educators the ability to create a music education blog for free!
